Page Description

East Asian medicine is structured on “Four Pillars” of treatment. These are different categories of treatment that are intended to create a holistic care plan for patients. All pillars do not necessarily need to be addressed during each treatment, as long as there is effective balancing of the physical body, mind and spirit.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the primary aspect of my practice. [something about combining it with other modalities] When you come in for your treatment, we will discuss your specific needs and create a unique treatment plan for you.

During an acupuncture treatment, I will use specific points to balance the meridians, or pathways, in which qi* is not flowing properly. Such imbalances can manifest as: allergies, anxiety, indigestion, headaches, fertility, immune deficiencies and musculoskeletal pains, which can all be successfully treated with acupuncture.

*Qi: also written as “chi”; most often translated as energy or life force.
